Nearly Ninety Flights Linked to Jeffrey Epstein Reportedly Came to or from UK Airports
An investigation has found that close to 90 aircraft journeys connected to Jeffrey Epstein reportedly arrived at and departed from British airports, with some reportedly transporting women from the UK who allege they were victimized by the found guilty sex offender.
Flight Logs Show Pattern of Movement
The flight logs were among thousands of legal papers and files released by Epsteinâs estate that have been released over the last year. The analysis uncovered 87 flights tied to Epstein â encompassing many that were hitherto undisclosed â coming into or leaving from UK airports between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Passenger Details and Post-Conviction Flights
Unnamed âfemalesâ were documented among the passengers entering and exiting the UK. Significantly, 15 of these flights involving the UK happened after Epsteinâs 2008 guilty verdict for procuring prostitution from a child.
âIt was âappallingâ that there had never been a âcomprehensive British inquiryâ into his dealings in the country,â stated American attorneys representing numerous Epstein victims.
UK Survivors and Court Cases
A statement from one of the UK-based survivors was instrumental in convicting Epsteinâs accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. But, that victim has not been approached by UK authorities, according to her Florida-based lawyer.
In a statement, the Metropolitan police stated they had ânot been provided with any additional information that would support restarting the probe.â They added, âIf new and relevant information be presented to us, including any arising from the disclosure of documents in the US, we will assess it.â
Ongoing Disclosure and Legal Rulings
A bill to make public all files held by the American government in concerning Epstein passed the US Congress last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to adhere to this requirement. Hundreds of thousands of files are anticipated to be released.
Separately, a federal judge ruled last week that the DOJ could disclose evidence from a trafficking prosecution against Maxwell, Epsteinâs close friend, who is currently serving a 20-year jail term over the allegations.
