Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the plane's windshield, according to an official statement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.
"The jet touched down following established safety measures and everyone onboard, such as Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson said in a public statement.
The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital at the time.
This event isn't the first occasion that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has experienced mechanical issues.
In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane transporting Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to head back to Washington DC after encountering a technical issue.
